Campaign Sequencer

Upload a HubSpot view or Clay table. n8n checks deliverability (catch-all domain, role-based email, bounced-in-last-90-days) and drops the junk. Claude Sonnet writes a 3-step sequence per contact: step 1 is a 45-word opener referencing their most-recent signal. Step 2 lands at day 3, leads with proof. Step 3 lands at day 5, soft ask. Smartlead throttles sends across warmed-up inboxes so each domain sends under 40/day. Replies post back into HubSpot tagged positive | neutral | unsubscribe by Claude Haiku. A 500-contact sequence costs about $4 in model spend.

What it does

Pull a list from HubSpot, Clay, or a spreadsheet. Claude personalises each message against the contact's company, role, and any signal in the enrichment data. n8n schedules the send timing. Smartlead handles delivery. Replies and responses flow back into the CRM.

Three steps per sequence. The first is the hook. The second is proof. The third is the ask. Claude is prompted to write each step separately because compression kills personalisation and the steps serve different purposes.

Used in the Buttermilk outbound layer and the Arcus compliance prospect pipeline.

Teams that recognise the pain

Before

Today, campaign sequencer is a manual ritual. Someone owns the spreadsheet, the inbox, or the doc. The work is repetitive and rarely the highest-leverage thing they could be doing.

After

Campaign Sequencer runs as a wired pipeline. Triggers fire automatically, the model picks the right move, and the output lands in the tool the team already opens every day.

What changes for your team

  • The repetitive part of the job goes away. The judgement part stays.
  • Owner of the workflow gets a real job back instead of a copy-paste loop.
  • Outputs are consistent because the pipeline runs the same way every time, not the way someone happens to feel that morning.
